The 2014/2015 academic year has begun, and my desk is finally ready! With the help of a couple generous friends (and a very intimidating power drill), I was able to build this Ikea masterpiece. The floral chair is from Target, and everything else is either a book or something random I’ve collected over the years.
I can’t wait to take on this semester with my renewed sense of stability and overwhelming passion for my studies. To all of the other students out there in the Tumblr-verse, make this year the best one yet by working as hard as you can. Success takes dedication, organization, and most importantly, sincere passion for your goals and humbleness in regards to your accomplishments.
So just because, here are some of my favorite cliches/quotes about thriving through challenges: —-1. “There’s always a beginning, a middle, and an end.” —-2. “Everything you do should be done with 110% of yourself.” —-3. “Knowledge is power.” (Duh…I mean, this isn’t really related but Francis Bacon had it right with this one.) —-4. “Grasp all, lose all.” (I didn’t understand this the first time I heard it, but it just means that balance is a key to success because taking on too much will cause everything to fall apart.) —5. “Don’t look at the jar but at what’s inside it.” (This is pretty much the same as “don’t judge a book by it’s cover”, but this is a translation from a Hebrew proverb. To me, it’s also a reminder to never judge anyone, anything, or any situation because you never know what opportunities might arise from any experience or encounter.)
Anyway, happy studying to all my scholastic peers! Stay focused, organized, balanced, and of course, passionate, and you’ll have the potential to accomplish any and all goals!✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨
